This led to the creation of POWER COLOR technology.
A parameter called CRF, or Chromatic Resolution Factor, is used to measure the actual impact of this technology. This parameter originates from a mathematical calculation that includes, among various variables, color depth, the optical resolution of the lens, and the volume of the color space transmitted by the lens.
Empirically, a low CRF corresponds to a faded image with washed-out colors, whereas a high CRF value results in vibrant, well-defined colors. Considering a standard polycarbonate lens with a CRF of 100%, DAI Sport lenses reach up to 137%, expanding the perceived color volume by 35%.
