CUSTOMIZED PROGRESSIVE LENS

A new progressive design born through free-form Daitach digital technology – SUPER CUSTOMIZED: Daitach PLUS, a lens that goes beyond the boundaries of the imagination, based on a high-precision design which perfectly matches the visual needs of the user.
Daitach PLUS enriches the range of free-form progressive lenses with digital technology of high added value. Numerically controlled, one by one, through highly advanced software ensuring:

• maximum precision during the entire process of area calculation, both reducing and speeding up controls
• improved production processes and greater flexibility

The Daitach PLUS lenses, are the new generation of progressive lenses that fit perfectly to every presbite considering an infinite number of variables including all facial characteristics of the user, the chosen frame and use position. The geometry is obtained through a combination of 6 parameters (see fig.). Working distance refers to the space between the user and the object (ex. Magazine, book, cell phone, etc.). The other 5 parameters refer to the position of the lens on the face of the user. Through such parameters lenses are highly personalized and precise.

Through such parameters lenses are highly personalized and precise. Thanks to their progressive design, enormous advantages are obtained on the concave side of the lens and, therefore, closer to the eye, resulting in a considerable enlargement of the field of vision. The image on the left shows that, given a certain portion of the progressive surface, looking from the convex side of the lens, the field of vision is indicated by the blue lines. If we move the surface on the concave side the field of vision becomes much wider and coincides with that indicated by the red lines. A concrete example is the effect obtained by looking through a keyhole. When placing the eye near to the keyhole you are able to see the room beyond, however, as we move away, much less can be seen due to image tapering. Hundreds of tests were carried out in order to identify factors that contribute to the satisfaction and comfort of the wearer of progressives leading to the development of Daitach PLUS: more than 90% of all users subjected to tests were found to be more satisfied than with traditional progressive lenses.
